It was in the summer of last year that I had an unforgettable round trip experience. It was the first time I traveled abroad alone, and it taught me a lot about independence, adaptability, and the beauty of the world.
The journey started from Beijing, China, and ended back in the same city. During this period, I visited several fascinating places, including Tokyo, Japan; Paris, France; and Rome, Italy.
Beijing to Tokyo
I began my journey in Beijing. I was nervous but excited to leave for Japan. I arrived at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport after a long flight. The moment I stepped off the plane, I felt a surge of enthusiasm. The city was vibrant, and the people were friendly.
I spent a week in Tokyo. I visited famous landmarks such as the Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Crossing, and Senso-ji Temple. I also indulged in delicious Japanese cuisine, like sushi and ramen. The best part of my stay was when I met up with some local friends who showed me around the city.
Tokyo to Paris
After leaving Tokyo, I flew to Paris. The city was unlike anything I had ever seen. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral were just a few of the incredible sights I experienced.
I spent two weeks in Paris. I explored the city’s charming streets, visited art galleries, and tasted exquisite French pastries. One of my favorite moments was taking a leisurely boat ride on the Seine River.
Paris to Rome
My final stop was Rome, the “Eternal City.” I was excited to see the ancient ruins, like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. The city’s rich history and vibrant culture left a lasting impression on me.
I spent a week in Rome. I visited famous landmarks, such as the Vatican City and the Roman Forum. I also enjoyed the city’s delicious pasta and gelato. One of the highlights of my trip was attending a traditional Roman opera performance.
Returning to Beijing
After a month of traveling, I finally returned to Beijing. It was both exciting and sad to leave my newfound friends and the beautiful cities I had visited. However, I was grateful for the experiences and memories I had gained during my journey.
During my round trip, I learned to be more independent and adaptable. I overcame language barriers, cultural differences, and unexpected challenges. I also realized how vast and diverse the world is and how much there is to learn from every experience.
In conclusion, my round trip travel experience was an unforgettable adventure that taught me valuable lessons about life and the world. I hope to continue exploring new places and creating new memories in the future.
